The weather reports have changed since last night, now they are predicting the storms will pass through earlier and be clearing up by 3, which is when I have my tee time. Supposedly there were heavy storms already this morning some what to the north of us but when I went out for a paper about 9, the weather was warm and dry, although overcast. The weather web page rates today as a 5 (out of 10) on the golf index. Tomorrow is a 9 and the rest of the week through to Saturday are 8's.Earlier I had made a couple of fixes to the TAD program that Brandon (senior) had requested in an email. I've now read the paper - mostly rubbish and heaps and heaps of advertising pamphlets. A bit like Sunday papers everywhere. As long as there are comics and the TV program anything else is a bonus. The paper here is a weird shape. It is really tall and skinny so not easy to read unless you have a table to put in on.
The picture is of my rental car outside HEB, which is a reasonably sized supermarket, a la Coles or Woolworths. The Chevy Impala seems to be a bit bigger than a Camry and has a 6cylinder engine. I've had very few problems driving on the "wrong" side of the road and have hardly even tried to get in the passenger side by mistake, which happened a lot one trip here back in the 20th Century. Also it has only one lever, with the wipers controlled by a turn ring rather then a separate lever so I have avoided the problem of turning on the wipers when I meant to indicate.
